The Secret to Coaching Yourself
The Secret to Coaching Yourself
Ever feel lost without a coach?
The best acrobats don’t just train harder—they train smarter by breaking tricks into smaller parts.
Ever feel stuck on a trick no matter how many times you try? The problem isn’t effort—it’s approach. Instead of repeating the whole move and hoping for the best, break it into smaller sections and train them individually.
Every skill is just a series of "shapes" and "shape changes." Instead of tackling an entire move at once, identify each section: start position, transitions, and landing. A press to handstand isn’t just one trick—it’s multiple smaller steps!
By isolating sections and training them individually, you can troubleshoot mistakes, build confidence, and accelerate progress.
💡 This Weeks Challenge: Take one trick you’re working on and break it into at least three sections. Drill each part separately before piecing it back together!
PS - Next time you’re stuck on a skill, don’t just push harder. Most problems start before the trick even begins! Break it down!
