We, Not Me – The Secret to Stronger Circus Partnerships

We, Not Me – The Secret to Stronger Circus Partnerships

In circus, whether you're flying, basing, juggling, or clowning, you're rarely working alone. But have you ever noticed how easy it is to slip into saying, “You need to do X” instead of “We need to do X”?

Shifting your language from "you" to "we" is a small but powerful change that transforms your training environment.

Saying "we" reminds both partners that success (and failure) is shared. Instead of creating tension, it builds unity. Next time something doesn’t go as planned, instead of “You need to balance more,” try “We need to find our balance together.”

This creates a team mindset, reduces friction, and makes training way more fun.

💡 Your challenge this week: Catch yourself when you use “you” and swap it for “we.” Let me know how it changes your training!

PS - After much practice I was able to apply the same skills in my day to life and it made my relationships 10x better.
